Proposed Mixed Use Development at 15 Boston Quays, Mindarie (DA2022/927)
The application proposes a four storey mixed use development which is configured as follows:
- Ground Floor - Restaurant and associated take away facilities;
- First Floor - Car Parking;
- Second Floor - One Apartment; and
- Third Floor and Rooftop Terrace - Residential amenities.
The Restaurant's operating hours are as follows:

Monday to
Thursday 8:00am to 10:00pm;
- ·
Friday and
Saturday 7:00am to 12:00am; and
- · Sunday 8:00am to 10:00pm.
The
restaurant will accommodate a maximum of 80 persons (including staff) at any
one time and includes the seating area on the balcony of the first floor facing
Boston Quays. The proposed restaurant will also incorporate take away facilities
with a coffee vending window located on the Boston Quays frontage which will be
open between 6:30am and 5:30pm Monday to Sunday.
The proposal will be assessed against the Design Principles of State Planning Policy 7.3: Residential Design Codes - Volume 2 (R-Codes). You are invited to provide comment on the proposal with regard to the following elements
- Building bulk;
- Sunlight and ventilation;
- Overlooking;
- Effective use of space;
- Amenity;
- Views of significance;
- Appropriateness to the locality; and
- Respect for the natural ground levels of the site.
