Proposed Change of Use to Holiday House at 8A Southampton Lane, Mindarie (DA2023/1142)

 

The abovementioned development application is currently being advertised for public comment until 15 December 2023.

 

The application proposes a change of use to unit 8A to a Holiday House. A Holiday House is defined under the City’s District Planning Scheme No.2 as:

 

“a single dwelling on one lot used to provide short-term accommodation but does not include a bed and breakfast.”

 

The application details are as follows:

  • 2 underground parking bays provided for guests;
  • A maximum of 4 occupants permitted to stay on site at any one time;
  • The entire dwelling is to be used by occupants;
  • Check in not permitted between the hours of 9pm and 7am; 
  • Guests are required to stay for a minimum of 5 nights; and
  • A management plan has been provided detailing the operation of the business.
