You can explore the museum with a map reading treasure hunt then check out some amazing historical maps of the City in our Community History Centre.
Make sure you take in our new display ‘The Way Wanneroo Was’ which celebrates some of the places that have been important in the building of the Wanneroo community we know today.
As always, there is plenty to do and see at the Wanneroo Regional Museum!
Even before the establishment of the Wanneroo townsite at the Wanneroo Road 16 mile peg in 1907, a number of important community places began to spring up to service the needs of the growing district.
Most of these places have come and gone, a few remain, but all have been important places in the building of the Wanneroo community we know today. This new display brings out objects from the Wanneroo Regional Museum collection, tangible reminders of The Way Wanneroo Was. On display until 22 June.
These are the objects being displayed:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 10:00am - 4:00pm
Thursday 10:00am - 5:00pm
Saturday 12:00pm - 4:00pm
Public holidays - closed
