Proposed Change of Use to Place of Worship and Caretakers Dwelling at 28 Rochford Way, Girrawheen (DA2022/607)

The application proposes to change the use of the existing structures of the site to a Place of Worship and a Caretakers Dwelling at the abovementioned property. The Caretakers Dwelling is proposed to replace the existing residential dwelling on the property. The Place of Worship will only occupy the freestanding structure at the front of the property which is setback 3 metres from the street. Details of the place of worship are as follows:

• The application proposes no modifications to the existing dwelling on the property;
• The Place of Worship will operate one day per month for a period of 2 hours;
• Typically when the Place of Worship operates, it will do so between the hours of 2:00pm and 4:00pm; and
• A maximum of 25 persons to be accommodated on the property at any one time.
