Community Information Session - Coastal Vulnerability Study and Hazard Mapping

Community engagement has now closed. Comments were submitted from 18/04/2016 to 06/05/2016.

Information

In late 2014, the City of Wanneroo engaged consultants MP Rogers and Associates to prepare Part 1 of a Coastal Hazard Risk Management and Adaptation Plan (CHRMAP).  This study analysed the potential impact of sea level rise on the City’s coastline and identified residential areas, infrastructure and assets that may be at risk of being impacted over the next 100 years.

The study is now complete, and you are now invited for an information session to hear about the findings, ask questions about the study and learn how you can be further involved.  Community Information Sessions will be held at the following times and locations:

Date: Wednesday, 20 April 2016
Time: 6 – 7 PM
Location: Phil Renkin Recreation Centre, 59 Lisford Avenue, Two Rocks

Date: Thursday, 5 May 2016
Time: 6 – 7 PM
Location: Anthony Waring Clubrooms, Victorsen Parade, Clarkson

It would be appreciated if you could please indicate whether you plan to attend one of these sessions by contacting Tenaha Wilson on 9405 5523 or Tenaha.Wilson@wanneroo.wa.gov.au.

A copy of the CHRMAP Part 1 report, and a summary information sheet are available for your review here www.wanneroo.wa.gov.au/coastalmanagement

Should you have any further queries regarding this matter, please contact the City’s City Growth team on 9405 5523.
