Proposed Single House at 58 Mindarie Drive, Quinns Rocks (DA2023/54)


The abovementioned development application is currently being advertised for public comment until 27 April 2023.


The application proposes a single house across 3 levels which proposes the following variations:

 

  • A 0.4m variation to the permitted wall height for part of the dwelling;
  • A reduced setback to the neighbouring boundary for the proposed verandah;
  • 4.9sqm of overlooking from the proposed balcony into neighbouring lot; and
  • Retaining walls along neighbouring boundary with a maximum height of 0.7m above the natural ground level.

Due to the wall height, setback and overlooking, you are invited to provide comment on the proposal with regard to the following Design Principles:

 

  • Building Bulk;
  • Amenity; 
  • Appropriateness to the locality;
  • Sunlight and Ventilation;
  • Overlooking;
  • Effective use of space;
  • Views of significance; and
  • Respect for the natural ground levels of the site.
