City of Wanneroo Draft Strategic Waste Management Plan

Community engagement has now closed. Comments were submitted from 22/08/2016 to 19/09/2016.

The City has developed a Draft Strategic Waste Management Plan. This plan highlights recommendations for the City for the next five years that promotes recycling and minimises the sending of waste to landfill.

The City aims to reduce waste to landfill 65% by 2020 and the recommendations within the Strategy lay the groundwork to achieve this goal.

It is important that the final Strategy correctly reflects community’s views on current waste services and management practices and their requirements for future services.

We would love to hear from you, and encourage you to read over the draft Strategy and give us feedback on the contents; taking in to account your own perceptions, experiences and expectations for the City’s waste management service delivery in the future.

The Strategy, along with a brief information sheet are available to view below in the Document Library. Alternatively, hard copies of the Strategy can be viewed at the City's Civic Centre, Libraries or at Hainsworth, Banksia Grove or Yanchep Community Centre.

Please complete the feedback form in the 'Get Involved' section below, or send your feedback into the City before Monday 19 September 2016.
