Proposed Grouped Dwellings (Two Units) and Grouped Dwelling Additions (Retaining Walls) at 17 Barndie Way, Wanneroo (DA2023/1367)

 

The abovementioned development application is currently being advertised for public comment until 6 March 2024.


The application proposes Grouped Dwellings (Two Units) and associated retaining walls at 17 Barndie Way, Wanneroo with no setbacks on the northern and western boundaries.


Details of the grouped dwellings (two units) are as follows:

  • The grouped dwelling proposed on Lot 2 incorporates a bedroom which contains doors facing north toward the property boundary. 

Details of the retaining walls are as follows:


One continuous retaining wall along the northern property boundary which incorporates the following:

  • The retaining wall is 36m in length and ranges in height from 0.1m to 1.1m above Natural Ground Level.

One continuous retaining wall along the western rear property boundary which incorporates the following:

  • The retaining wall is 19.7m in length and ranges in height from 0.2m to 1m above Natural Ground Level.

The retaining walls incorporate limestone construction materials.


Due to the design, you are invited to provide comment on the proposal with regard to the following Design Principles:

  • Respect for the natural ground levels of the site;
  • Amenity; and 
  • Visual Privacy
