Council invites public comment on Draft Local Planning Policy 3.3: Fauna Management.
The draft Policy applies to all land holdings being transformed from ‘uncleared/ intact’ natural habitat into development sites.
The objective of the draft Policy is to ensure the effective management of macro-fauna by landowners and/ or developers of land proposed for urban development, and to avoid the unwanted impacts of displaced macro-fauna (such as kangaroos and emus) due to habitat disturbance.
