Bus Shelter Installation Program 2019/2020

Following review of feedback received by the City at conclusion of this consultation period, proposed bus shelters at bus stops numbers 23340 Millendon Street and 26928 Glasshouse Drive are no longer being considered as part of the 2019/2020 Capital Works Program. In addition, based on feedback received from the PTA, the City is also no longer considering a proposed bus shelter at bus stop number 27526. Therefore, of the above proposed locations, the installation of new bus shelters is confirmed at Bus stop numbers 23868 and 23870 on Hinchinbrook Avenue as part of the 2019/2020 Capital Works Program.

As a result of the initial consultation detailed above, a single sided (mesh type) bus shelter is now proposed to be installed at these four (4) alternative locations:

  • Bus Stop 21914 - Ocean Keys Boulevard, Clarkson
  • Bus Stop 26161 - Shepperton Drive, Butler
  • Bus Stop 26162 - Shepperton Drive, Butler
  • Bus Stop 26862 - Glasshouse Drive, Banksia Grove

Consultation with residents adjoining bus stop number 21914 on Ocean Keys Boulevard and 26161 on Shepperton Drive is now underway from Monday 23 September 2019 to Friday 4 October 2019.

Location plans of the two confirmed locations at Bus stop numbers 23868 and 23870 on Hinchinbrook Avenue and the above alternative locations are attached.

The Public Transport Authority will need to construct a concrete hardstand to comply with disability access requirements in the first stage of the bus shelter installation.

The provision of bus services and of locations of bus stops is the responsibility of the Public Transport Authority (PTA).  These queries should be directed to PTA on telephone 9326 2000 or by email at enquiries@pta.wa.gov.au

Any enquiries or feedback relating to the installation of these bus shelters should be referred to the City’s Traffic Services Team on 9405 5000 before 4 October 2019.

Works are currently scheduled to begin in October / November this year.
