Ridgewood - Ridgewood Lake Liner Replacement

During November and December 2020, the City will be undertaking the replacement of the artificial liner within the lake at Ridgewood Park.

The replacement is being undertaken due to a number of leaks within the existing lake liner.

During the replacement a build-up of sediment on the base of the lake will also be removed. The design of the new lake liner will allow ease of maintenance in the future to eliminate the need for large scale sediment removal.

All native and introduced wildlife in the lake have been relocated as part of maintenance works in early 2019.  If any further native wildlife is located during the works, they will be relocated to a suitable location within the City of Wanneroo.

Temporary fencing will be erected around the lake during the works to prevent public access to the site. Works have been planned to have minimal public impact on access and use of the adjacent oval and play equipment.

Works are scheduled to begin in November 2020 and continue for up to four weeks dependant on weather conditions.
