Retrospective Single House Additions (Extension, Deck, Front Fence and Retaining Walls) at 85 Hillcrest Road, Alexander Heights - DA2020/1203
The City has received an application for retrospective single house additions at 85 Hillcrest Road, Alexander Heights.
The proposal relates to an existing deck and extension which have been constructed at the rear of the existing dwelling. In addition, two retaining walls are proposed at the rear of the property which are approximately 0.6 metres in height. One of which has a length of 9 metres and is setback 2.4 metres from the northern lot boundary and the other is 4.9 metres in length and located centrally along the rear lot boundary. The deck is of dimension 6.76 metres by 7.89 metres. Due to the slope of the boundary fence, and the location of the decking in relation to the boundary fence the proposal results in potential overlooking into the adjoining property to the north. The proposed extension at the rear of the existing dwelling also results in a small portion of overlooking from the extension into the adjoining property to the south.
