Proposed Amendment No. 192 to District Planning Scheme No. 2 (Brighton West Village Structure Plan)

Community engagement has now closed. Comments were submitted from 02/08/2021 to 17/09/2021.

The Minister for Planning approved Amendment No. 192 which transfers the zoning, residential density and retail floorspace controls from the City’s Brighton West Village Centre Agreed Local Structure Plan No. 52 (ASP 52) and into DPS 2.   The Amendment was published in the government gazette on 15 March 2022 and took effect from that date.

City of Wanneroo District Planning Scheme No. 2 - Amendment No. 192

Notice is hereby given that Council, at its Ordinary Council meeting on 15 June 2021 resolved, in accordance with the Planning and Development Act 2005, to initiate Scheme Amendment No. 192 to District Planning Scheme No. 2 (DPS2) for public advertising.

The purpose of the Scheme amendment is to transfer zoning, residential density and retail floorspace controls from the City’s Brighton West Village Centre Agreed Local Structure Plan No. 52 (ASP 52) and into the City’s District Planning Scheme No. 2. This would then allow ASP 52 to be later revoked.
