City of Wanneroo District Planning Scheme No. 2 - Amendment No. 199

Notice is hereby given that Council, at its Ordinary Council meeting on 10 August 2021 resolved, in accordance with the Planning and Development Act 2005, to initiate Scheme Amendment No. 199 to District Planning Scheme No. 2 (DPS2) for public advertising.

The purpose of the Scheme amendment is to make the ‘Car Park’ land use discretionary subject to advertising (an ‘A’ use) in the General Rural and Rural Resource zones. This is in response to increasing demand for parking of  privately owned caravans, boats, trailers and trucks (that are not used for trade, professional and commercial purposes) in locations that can suitably accommodate the activity without impacting on rural uses.
