Road Projects - Girrawheen - Beach Road (eastbound) between Hainsworth Avenue and Mirrabooka Avenue – Renew Road Surface

To ensure the City is travel friendly with balanced and sustainable transport choices, improvements will be made to provide a smoother drive and improve safety by renewing the road surface.

This will include surface preparation and the removal of existing asphalt where required, asphalt resurfacing, removal and reinstatement of kerbing, pram ramp, drainage lid upgrades (as required) and line marking.

Construction is scheduled to commence the last week of February 2025 and will take approximately five (5) weeks to complete.

Road Closure - Night works

The renewal portion of these works needs to be carried out over approximately five (5) nightshifts.

Details of road closure:

• Tentatively booked for 10 to 14 March 2025, between the hours of 7pm and 5.00am.
• Beach Road (eastbound) will only be closed to the public during the above dates and times.
• Variable Message Boards will be in place to communicate road closures/night works to commuters.
• Road detours will be in place, which will, at times, result in increased traffic in the surrounding areas.
• Access to private properties in the surrounding area will not be interrupted during these works and access to Beach Road will be available during the day.
