Community Facility Projects - Park assets renewal - various locations

2022/23 Work Package

As part of the City’s Asset Renewal Program, playgrounds that are independently audited and assessed as reaching the end of their safe operating life are then scheduled for renewal. This is to ensure that the equipment remains safe and operational for the community’s use.

Shade sails are installed at the same time where natural shade is limited.

Renewal of playground equipment, softfall and shade sails for the 2021/22 Financial Year

Ashby

• Carosa Park - Replacement of the play equipment, rubber playground surface and installation of shade sails.

Banksia Grove

• Discovery Park - Replacement of the rubber playground surfacing on two large mounds within the play area.
• Parakeelya Park - Replacement of the play equipment, sand and rubber playground surface, and the installation of shade sails.

Butler

• Brampton Park (small playground) - Replacement of the play equipment, sand playground surface and installation of shade sails.
• Burma Park - Replacement of the rubber playground surfacing and installation of shade sails.
• Butler Community Centre - Replacement of the play equipment and rubber playground surface.
• Wilton Park - Replacement of the rubber and sand playground surfacing.

Carramar

• Carramar Community Centre - Replacement of the play equipment and rubber playground surface.

Darch

• Keith Griffiths Park - Replacement of the rubber playground surfacing and installation of shade sails.
• Longford Park - Replacement of the play equipment, sand playground surfacing and installation of shade sails.

Koondoola

• Butterworth Park - Replacement of the rubber playground and fitness equipment surfacing.

Landsdale

• Monticello Park - Replacement of the playground surfacing.

Merriwa

• Addison Park - Replacement of the play equipment, sand playground surfacing and installation of shade sails.

Mindarie

• Abbeville Park - Replacement of the play equipment, sand playground surface and installation of a shade sails over the swing.

Tapping

• Provost Park - Replacement of the play equipment, sand and rubber playground surface, and the installation of shade sails.

Wanneroo

• Nyunda Park - Replacement of the rubber playground surfacing.
• Wanneroo Showgrounds (nearest the clubrooms) - Replacement of the playground surfacing.
