Road Projects - Mindarie - Burns Beach to Mindarie dual use pathway
|Ward||North Coast Ward|
The purpose of this project is to complete the missing 3.5 km section of dual use path between Burns Beach and Mindarie which includes sections of path adjacent to Burns Beach Estate in the south and Catalina Estate in the north. Once all three sections are completed, the path will create a continuous route from North Fremantle to Jindalee.
2.8km of the Burns Beach to Mindarie dual use path has now been completed with funding provided by the Western Australian Planning Commission, Tamala Park Regional Council, City of Wanneroo and City of Joondalup. The path is accessible from the end of Long Beach Promenade in Mindarie - please be respectful of local residents by using the available on street parking.
The southern section adjacent to Burns Beach Estate (approximately 700m) is still to be constructed by Peet Limited. It is anticipated this section of the pathway will be completed by late 2021 or early 2022. Until this section is completed there is no access to Burns Beach.
Temporary Closure June to December 2021 - Catalina Estate northern end of pathway
This section of the dual use pathway, which has been fitted with temporary fencing, will be closed intermittently while the developer (Satterley) installs drainage and constructs a beach access road. Every attempt will be made to ensure the pathway is kept open as much as possible during these works.
More information about this project, including FAQs can be found on the City of Joondalup website.
