Community Facility Projects - Yanchep - Splendid Park new cycling path

Project description

The design and construction of a new cycling facility at Splendid Park, Yanchep.

The Splendid Park new cycling path project was jointly funded by:

  • The Australian Government’s Local Roads & Community Infrastructure Program - Phase 3
  • The Australian Government's Building Better Regions Fund (2022/23)
  • Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (State Government) and;
  • The City of Wanneroo.

A nominal funding of $610,000 was provided by the Australian Government through the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program. 

The Australian Government’s Local Roads & Community Infrastructure Program – Phase 3 supports local councils to deliver priority local road and community infrastructure projects across Australia, supporting jobs and the resilience of local economies to help communities bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The Building Better Regions Fund supports the Australian Government's commitment to create jobs, drive economic growth and build stronger regional communities into the future.

The State Government through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries has provided $400,000 to help deliver the facility.

Works commenced in May 2022 and were complete 25 November 2022.

The new facility was officially opened 3 December 2022.
