Key Facts

This project has been funded under the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.

This program supports local councils to deliver priority local road and community infrastructure projects across Australia, supporting jobs and the resilience of local economies to help communities bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new car park is required to meet higher user demand due to the recent construction of a dog exercise area and a new sports amenities building at Edgar Griffiths Park.

Works will include:

  • Vegetation clearing and earthworks
  • Laying of crushed limestone sub-base
  • Installation of new kerbing, bollards and new light poles
  • Lay 30mm asphalt wearing course and installation of line marking for parking bays
  • Rock spalling for drainage management.
