Community Facility Projects - Quinns Rocks - Gumblossom Reserve upgrade access

Project description

This project has been funded under the Australian Government’s Local Roads & Community Infrastructure Program – Phase 2.

This program supports local councils to deliver priority local road and community infrastructure projects across Australia, supporting jobs and the resilience of local economies to help communities bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The path network at Gumblossom Park will be modified to provide a path connection between the Community Centre carpark and Sports clubroom.

Gumblossom Reserve has a total area of approximately 6.1ha. This reserve has shared use with the Department of Education (Quinns Rocks Primary School) and the North Coast Ball Club in the summer and Quinns Football Club in the winter.

By completing this path connection and educating park users, incidents resulting from verge parking along Quinns Road can be reduced. This will result in a safer environment along Quinns Road.
