• Wednesday to Saturday // 10am to 4pm
• Closed Monday, Tuesday, Sunday and public holidays. Christmas hours apply.

Present in the Current showcases the work of three local artists, Warrick Palmateer, Matthew Bettinaglio and Lee Jessamine.

Be in awe of the power of nature as ceramist Palmateer, and photographer and videographer Jessamine explore the beauty and wildness of the Leeuwin Current through ceramics, photographic prints and video. Filmmaker Bettinaglio explores Palmateer’s process of making in a documentary style video and photography.

Present in the Current represents the culmination of years of creative pursuit and friendship between the artists in one display.

Sunset Sounds brings neighbours together for a relaxed evening of live music from the 80s, food trucks and family-friendly games in the park. This event launches our 40th Anniversary concerts with four dedicated events celebrating the last four decades of the City of Wanneroo, including our history with Joondalup.

At the Cleanaway Material Recovery Facility in Guildford you’ll get to see how recycling is sorted and bailed. Next stop, CLAW Environmental in Welshpool where we will be taken around the working site and look at the different types of plastics and how they are processed.

Come with lots of questions on waste, recycling and plastics.

Pick up locations

There are two pick pick up locations for the tour:

• 8.30am - Pick up in front of the Civic Centre/library building (23 Dundebar Rd, Wanneroo)
• 8.45am - City of Joondalup pick up - Timberlane Park, Woodvale (17 Althaea Way, Woodvale)

Please email: wasteeducation@wanneroo.wa.gov.au with your preferred pick up location.

Important information

• Accessibility: please note at the Cleanaway MRF, you will be required to walk up approximately 35 steps.
• Enclosed shoes and long sleeves/pants must be worn and BYO water bottle.

Sunset Sounds creates the perfect evening with 90’s tunes, entertainment, delicious food and activities for kids in a relaxed community atmosphere.
