Andy Warhol Collection

People at gallery viewing art

The Wanneroo Regional Gallery is proud to present a collection of works from one of the 20th century's most influential artists, Andy Warhol.

Opening hours

  • Wednesday to Saturday // 10am to 4pm
  • Closed Monday, Tuesday, Sunday and public holidays

The Andy Warhol works are a long-term loan from the National Gallery of Australia with support from the Australian Government as part of Sharing the National Collection initiative. The partnership will see the Wanneroo Regional Gallery display over 50 artworks by Andy Warhol over a two-year period, with a small selection of pieces on display and rotated every three months.

The first rotation of Warhol's Electric chairs series is currently exhibited in a small section of the Gallery to the right side of the City’s main exhibition.

Warning

This exhibition contains imagery that may cause distress.

Andy Warhol’s Electric Chair series may be disturbing or upsetting to some viewers due to its content being associated with capital punishment and death.

Pink Up Your Town

Pink up your town

This October, we’re pinking up the City of Wanneroo to raise awareness for this important cause!

McGrath Cancer Care Nurses have a proven positive impact on the lives of people experiencing cancer and their families. Since 2005, the McGrath Foundation has supported over 161,000 families, for free. Around one in two people in Australia will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, meaning the need for McGrath Cancer Care Nurses is greater than ever.

From our streets to our Council Meetings, the Wanneroo Town Centre will be pretty in pink throughout October to support this important cause. With plenty of fun, family-friendly events and activities for all to enjoy, this is a great opportunity for you to get involved and help raise awareness.

What’s on in the City

  • Head into the Wanneroo Town Centre and the Civic Centre in October and check out the pink decorations.
  • Join us for a special community morning tea on Tuesday 14 October at the Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre and hear from Cancer Council representatives.
  • What is bright pink, has six wheels and helps collect your waste? See if you can spot our pink rubbish truck as it makes its way around the City!
  • Stop by Wanneroo Library on 23 October to enjoy a special edition of Pink Faerie Storytime.
  • Join in the pink theme when you work out at Aquamotion in October.
  • Check out the Joondalup Road flyover bridge lit up in pink on Wednesday 22 October.

Help ensure that no one misses out on care by making a donation.
