Online forms: City Facility Hire Support Application Form

To support local community groups, sporting clubs and community-based businesses with the cost of existing hire of City facilities for a short term period. Support will include fee concessions and waivers for eligible applicants for a maximum period of 3 months from the date of approval.

When can I apply?

Applications are open from 24 July and close 16 August 2020.

If you are successful in your application, you will be notified by the City during the week commencing Monday 17 August.

Approved concessions and fee waivers will be applied to your account and an updated contract/invoice will be sent to your nominated email address.

How do I know if I’m eligible?

Before starting your application, please read through this information carefully to ensure you are eligible to apply and are able to provide the required supporting evidence.

This fund is available to:

  • Community groups
  • Sporting clubs
  • Not-for-profits and incorporated associations
  • Religious groups
  • Community based small business / sole trader

The fee concession or waiver applies to existing facility hire contracts for annual or seasonal bookings. Please ensure you have a copy of your contract or contract number available to include in your application.

The reduced fee is applicable for 3 months from the date of approval. Requests will not apply to new bookings, casual bookings or amendments/additions to existing facility hire bookings.

How do I apply?

Applicants must complete this Facility Hire Support Application.

Applicants must provide evidence of a reduction in income as a result of COVID-19, the impact of which is resulting in difficulty in meeting the cost of facility hire. Including:

  1. Detailed explanation of the exact cause and financial impact that has resulted in reduced ability to pay facility hire fees.
  2. Explanation of how the saving from facility hire fees will support the ongoing viability of the group/club/business and/or benefit City of Wanneroo residents

Supporting documents must include one of the following to evidence the financial impact of COVID-19:

  1. Monthly income comparisons – April, May, June 2019 vs April, May, June 2020;
  2. Quarterly income statements commencing July 2019 through to June 2020; or
  3. Account Balance Sheets for 2019 & 2020;
