COVID-19 update - Sunday 8 May 2021
The City’s community buildings are open with the 2 square meters per person rule still in place. In multi-room facilities, hirers must manage the ingress and egress of their guests, to avoid congestion in common areas. In addition, hirers with back-to-back sessions should allow appropriate transition between groups to avoid congestion.
Additional information about the ease of restrictions, including regulations about masks can be found by clicking below:
Updated room capacities can be found below. Hirers are responsible to ensure they don’t go over the capacity limits for their activity.
Clubs are encouraged to seek advice from their State Sporting Association. Should there be a conflict between Associations guidelines and the City’s, outside those of the State Government, the City’s guidelines will apply. Clubs are to manage congestion created between games, to ensure adequate social distancing is still achieved.
Clubs are approved to recommence using kitchens and clubrooms but must maintain proper hygiene practices. Refer links below:
Hire groups are responsible to clean their own equipment, and common touchpoints, such as tables, chairs, counter surfaces, door handles, etc. This cleaning should be done in addition to the City’s current cleaning program.
Attendees entering City buildings can use the QR codes that are on site. Where people don’t have the ability to register using the QR code, the hirer is responsible to maintain a hard copy contact register. Please refer to the Contact registers stakeholder toolkit.
