New Online Community Directory
Test our new online directory and provide feedback
The City of Wanneroo is establishing a free online service that will enable users to find out what's happening across the whole City, including upcoming events, services and resources.
We are looking for members of the community to test our community directory, before it is officially released in the new year.
It is now available through our website for viewing, trialling and for community groups to start adding their services and/or events.
Try out the directory and let us know what you think of it via our online feedback form, before 20 December.
If your community group would like to register to use the directory or submit a new listing, please complete the online form below.
List your group or events for FREE on the directory
WA firm Scoop Digital has been appointed to establish and manage an online Community Directory for the City of Wanneroo.
The FREE service for users will enable the community to easily find out what’s happening in the City and access local services and facilities.
The City carried out comprehensive research prior to awarding this contract to identify the need for the service, as well as support from the local community.
A community survey conducted in late 2019 confirmed its need and benefits with 90% of survey respondents indicating that they would use and update the system for their local group.
Once the directory if fully up and running, Scoop will liaise directly with the community to maintain the system. However, the City will have access and be responsible for the quality of information.
If you have an existing listing and would like to make any changes, you can either:
1) Log in and make your own changes
2) Email Scoop Digital at firstname.lastname@example.org to make this change for you.
Scoop Digital’s media network includes various media brands, websites, newsletters, social media and content-licensing networks, including www.scoop.com.au
Much of the content on the Wanneroo Community Directory will be shared through this network, exposing local community groups and organisations to more than 30 websites across WA. Your listing will be included on the localista network, which attracts over 100,000 searches a month.
