Knowing your neighbours can help in many ways including creating new connections or building on existing relationships and increasing safety and help in emergencies.
The City is inviting applications from the Mariginiup Bushfire incident area in the City of Wanneroo to receive up to $200 in funding to host small events with their neighbours, commemorating the one-year anniversary of the bushfire.
Eligible expense items
- Catering
- Refreshments (non-alcoholic beverages only)
- Related equipment hire e.g. barbeque gas bottle
Application requirements
- Applications will only be approved for those who reside or work within the incident area of the Mariginiup Bushfire (incident 649022) in the City of Wanneroo.
- The event must be held between 18 November 2024 and 11 December 2024.
- The event must be free for the participants.
- Application for funding must be approved prior to hosting the event.
- Representatives from multiple properties within the neighbourhood must be present and less than 100 people.
If your application is approved, you will be required to provide feedback, a photograph of the event and receipts to show funding was spent on the eligible expense items before receiving your payment.
Applications close on Wednesday 13 November 2024, with successful applicants notified by Friday 15 November 2024.
