North Coast Community Arts Festival

The City of Wanneroo’s North Coast Community Arts Festival is a celebration of the unique artistic character of the City’s coastal suburbs.

From Jindalee to Two Rocks, the North Coast Community Arts Festival features community art of all kinds including live music, dance, comedy, crafts and everything in between.

Many events are drop-in, while others require advance bookings, so check out the Festival program below and book your place now!

Martial Art Anti-Bullying and Self Defence Program - ages 4 to 16

Five Day Portrait Workshop for beginners

When: Monday 17 April // 10am to 3pm

Cost: $350 for members, $395 for non-member (5 day workshop)

This 5-day workshop takes place on 17, 18, 19, 20 and 23 April 2023.

Create an acrylic portrait painting. Canvas supplied but you will need to bring your own paint. You’ll learn about fundamental grid drawing and colour mixing. Bring your own lunch. Tea and coffee can be purchased for a gold coin donation.

Noongar Language Singing Workshop - adults - FULLY BOOKED

In these vibrantly engaging and heart-warming singing sessions, Gina and Guy will teach songs from their catalogue and take audiences on a journey through the four principles of Koort (heart), Moort (family/community), Boodja (land) and Koorlangka (children/legacy). 

All workshops focus on the importance of keeping Noongar language and culture alive as well as learning original Noongar language songs. Expect to laugh, sing and learn!

Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse are multi award winners of the WA Music Industry (WAMI) Indigenous Act of the Year. They have brought their music to audiences across the world.

As this is a free four-part workshop series, we respectfully ask that you only sign up if you can make all four sessions, as places are limited and demand will be high. The program runs for four Wednesdays starting on Wednesday 19 April through to Wednesday 10 May.
