The City of Wanneroo lost animals service helps reunite owners with lost pets and allows people to find animals to adopt.
The links above reflect the animals currently in the Centre. So if there isn't a link to cats, for example, there are currently no cats impounded.
Owners whose pets have wandered from home should ring the Animal Care Centre on 9405 5000 during office hours, or 1300 138 393 after hours to see if their pet has been impounded. If your pet is found by one of our Rangers and is wearing a current Council registration tag, the City of Wanneroo will contact you.
The Animal Care Centre is located at the City of Wanneroo Ashby Operations Centre, 1204 Wanneroo Road, Ashby. You can collect your pet from the Centre seven days a week, from 4pm to 6pm. The Centre is closed Christmas Day and Good Friday. Pets that have been picked up by Rangers and are not claimed are re-homed where possible.
Please note that impound fees and legislative requirements may be applicable before any animal can be released.
From Monday 12 June 2017 the City’s Animal Care Centre will become a cashless facility. If you are making arrangements to collect an animal, vehicle or unauthorised sign after this date, please be aware that only debit card and credit card facilities will be available.
