Proposed Amendment  No. 45 to the East Wanneroo Cell 6 Structure Plan No. 8

Public comment is invited on the abovementioned amendment which proposes to rezone a portion of Lot 1 (No. 115) Furniss Road Darch from “Business Precinct” and “Residential R20” to “Commercial”

The rezoning is intended to accommodate provision of a Neighbourhood Centre at the corner of Driver Road and Furniss Road. The Neighbourhood Centre is proposed to have maximum net lettable area of 5000m2 to facilitate a future full line supermarket and specialty retail uses. 

The amendment also proposed a modification to the structure plan under Part One Clause 4.4 ‘Special Zones Additional Uses’ – Schedule 2 table. The modification is  to include the use ‘Private Recreation’ for the proposed future lot within the Business Precinct fronting Furniss Road immediately adjacent to the proposed Neighbourhood Centre on Furniss Road. This will facilitate development of a 24/7 fitness gymnasium.
