City of Wanneroo joins Australia’s biggest garage sale

For the first time City households, schools, community groups and businesses will join hundreds of thousands of people across the country on Saturday 22 October as part of Garage Sale Trail.
Garage Sale Trail is powered by more than 150 local councils and is expecting over 13,000 garage sales to be held across the country.
Mayor Tracey Roberts said the event is a fun way to declutter, meet your neighbours and uncover some unique bargains.
“The initiative aims to reduce waste by encouraging residents to reuse and recycle pre-loved items whilst making some pocket money along the way,” Mayor Roberts said.
“The City is pleased to be part of an award-winning community and sustainability event that is making a positive change for residents."
Community groups, schools and charities can use the activity to fundraise and make an average $735-$2000 on the day.
