Spring holiday fun in the City

Published Wednesday, 12th September 2018

There’s no chance of boredom these school holidays, thanks to the City of Wanneroo’s spring school holiday program!

Children playing sport

Catering to a range of ages and interests, there is something to do almost every day of the week.

There are Fun n Games for Tots at Kingsway Sporting Complex, where children aged 2 to 4 years will be introduced to different sports while having lots of fun with their care giver.

Also at Kingsway, sports stars of the future aged 5 to 12 years can enjoy a full day of drills, games and challenges with some awesome coaches. Soccer, netball, basketball, tennis and AFL camps are all available.

Eco Superheroes aged 7 to 11 can make their own eco-friendly superhero costume from recycled junk and learn important facts about protecting our environment.

Sessions will be held at Wanneroo, Girrawheen, Clarkson and Yanchep/Two Rocks Libraries.

Young movie makers aged 8 years and over can try their hand at Lego Stop Motion at Yanchep/Two Rocks Library. Just bring a mobile device, charged and ready to go.

Meet the amazing creatures at Landsdale Farm School, go on a hunt for the gnomes and take a selfie with a favourite animal. For children aged 9 to 14 years. Bus pickups are available.

Go on a beautiful coastal walk in Quinns Rocks, learn what it means to be a surf lifesaver and how to become part of a vital Aussie tradition. For young people aged 9 to 16 years. Bus pick-ups are available.

Many of the City of Wanneroo’s school holiday programs are free, while others are provided at a minimal cost.

Visit wanneroo.wa.gov.au/youthschoolholidays to book a session, unless otherwise stated.
