Landsdale - Traffic Management Treatments

Community engagement has now closed. Comments were submitted from 13/03/2023 to 31/03/2023.

Information

The City is considering traffic management treatments along Landsdale Road from Mirrabooka Ave to Alexander Drive, to address speeding, hooning and poor driver behaviour that occur along the road.

Designed in accordance with the Main Roads WA and Australian Standards, the treatments would include raised speed plateau at Encore Rise, speed humps and two pedestrian crossings with refuge islands at Hardcastle Park & Darling Rise aimed at reducing vehicle speeds and improving road safety.  The project will improve pedestrian connectivity and has been designed to not affect property access.

The project will be delivered over two years, with localised streetlight upgrade works planned to be carried out in the 2023/24 financial year; followed by construction of the traffic treatments the year after. The City will contact you further as works progress, including notification ahead of each stage of construction.

As part of the project, additional or upgraded street lighting is required at the location of vertical and horizontal traffic calming devices to comply with Australian Standard AS1158: Lighting for roads and public places. Locations where street lighting is to be upgraded or where additional light poles are required are shown on the plans provided for comment.

A design drawing outlining the proposed layout of the project is available to download.

Please provide your feedback, including whether you do or do not support the proposed traffic treatments and any comments that you may have from 13th to 31st March 2023 to the City via:

After the engagement period has concluded, the City will consider responses to inform the final design. In instances where no response is received, it will be assumed that residents support the design proposed by Drawing No. 3867.
