Proposed Ancillary Accommodation and
Associated Retaining Walls at 9 Kolan Elbow, Merriwa (DA2023/1309)
The abovementioned development application is currently being advertised for public comment until 22 January 2024.
The
application proposes an Ancillary Accommodation at the rear of the property and
associated retaining walls with no setbacks to the northern, northwestern and
southwestern boundaries.
Details of the retaining walls are as follows:
- A 4.1 metre long retaining wall along the northern boundary being 0.89 metre tall and a 0 metre setback;
- A 12.1 metre long retaining wall along the northwestern boundary with a minimum height of 0.86 metre and a maximum height of 1.44 metre and a 0 metre setback;
- An 11.8 metre long retaining wall along the southwestern boundary with a minimum height of 1.29 metre and a maximum height of 1.24 metre and a 0 metre setback; and
- The application intends to create a new level at the rear of the property which is intended to accommodate the ancillary accommodation. This will be achieved by the above retaining walls. This level at the rear of the property will be RL 9.61.
