The City of Wanneroo is seeking feedback from residents for the development of Hardcastle Park, Landsdale. The design has been developed to provide amenities to a variety of age groups, as well as providing accessibility where practicable within the park.
The development of Hardcastle Park is part of the City’s Passive Park Development Program, which seeks to provide amenities based on the City’s Local Planning Policy 4.3. - Public Open Space.
The development of Hardcastle Park has required consideration of environmental factors on the reserve, which has restricted the available space for development. The existing bushland on the reserve is classified as a threatened ecological community (TEC20a), which is one of the highest levels for retention. Subsequently the design of the reserve has been undertaken to retain this bushland whilst maximising the amenity within the reserve.
You can view the draft concept plan in the 'Document Library' below and provide your feedback through the online survey in the 'Get Involved' section. Alternatively you can provide your feedback in writing to: Chief Executive Officer, City of Wanneroo, Locked Bag 1, WANNEROO WA 6946.
Additionally, City Officers will also be available for a face to face event at the reserve on Wednesday, 16 November 2016 between 5.00pm and 6.00pm, which will provide residents the opportunity to discuss the proposal in greater detail.
To ensure the proposed development meets the needs of the local community, this concept plan will be available for public comment from 7 November until 20 November 2016.
We thank you for your interest in the Hardcastle Park development and would like to welcome any feedback you may have on the draft concept plan.
