Proposed Single Dwelling - 30A Clarecastle Retreat, MIndarie -  DA2019/1391

The above-mentioned development application is currently advertised for public comment until 20 January 2020. 

The application is proposing a two storey dwelling including an undercroft (three storeys total when viewed from the street) with the following Residential Design Code variations:

Lot Boundary Setbacks

  • A portico wall with an average height of 4.6m and length of 3.6m with a nil setback to the common boundary (this wall will abut a portion of the existing retaining and brick fencing on the boundary);
  • A stair screen wall an average height of 2.9m and length of 9.0m with a nil setback to the common boundary (this wall will abut a portion of the existing retaining on the boundary); and
  • A second floor bedroom wall (Bed 2) with a maximum height of 5.8m and length of 11.6m setback 1.31m from the common boundary;

Visual Privacy

  • A balcony to the rear of the property which overlooks 1.6m into the existing rear outdoor living area; and

Retaining Walls

  • A 0.8m high retaining wall with a maximum length of 6.9m with a nil setback to the boundary.
