What approvals do I need? - Swimming pool

Description A swimming pool is any excavation or structure that will contain more than 30cm of water.
Do I need approval?

Planning Approval (also referred to as Development Approval) is not required for swimming pools proposed in a residential zoned area.

For swimming pools proposed in any other zone, planning approval is required. Should it be required, planning approval must be obtained prior to a building permit being issued.

A Building Permit is required prior to the construction of any swimming pool/spa that will contain more than 300mm (30cm) depth of water.
