Road Projects - Koondoola - Intersection at Mirrabooka Avenue, Koondoola Avenue and Montrose Avenue - Upgrade roundabout

Upgrades to improve safety at this intersection and will include:

• Road widening of Mirrabooka Avenue
• Asphalt resurfacing
• Installation of brick paving and kerbing
• Drainage pit relocations
• Replacement of concrete path
• Installation of bike ramps on Mirrabooka Avenue

Road Closures – Night Works (Updated)

Due to heavy daytime traffic and high traffic counts at this intersection, to ensure public safety and the provision of access during the day, construction works need to be completed as night works, with associated road closures in place.

• 7 May 2025 to 13 June 2025 between the hours of 6pm and 4am.
• Mirrabooka Avenue, Koondoola Avenue and Montrose Avenue at this intersection will be closed to the public during the above dates and times
• Variable Message Boards (VMB) will be placed on the verges to communicate road closure/night works to commuters five (5) weeks prior to construction commencing. VMBs will remain onsite to communicate updates in response to changes that may occur during these works. 
• Road detours will be in place which will, at times, result in increased traffic in the surrounding areas. 
• Access to private properties in the surrounding area will not be interrupted during these works and access to Mirrabooka Avenue, Koondoola Avenue and Montrose Avenue will be available during the day.
