Community Facility Projects - Butler - Halesworth Park Sports Amenities

Construction of the Halesworth Sports Pavilion (Main Building A) and Little Athletics Store (C) was awarded to Swan Group WA at Council Meeting on 18 April 2023.  Construction commenced on site May 2023. Bollig Design Group are the Architectural Consultant for the project.
Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) WA 2021/22 Excellence Awards - “Best Public Works Greater than $5 million (Metro)” Finalist
The Sports (ovals) Amenities were constructed by RJ Vincent, and opened for public use in September 2021, which include:

• Two multi-sport ovals 
• Eight netball/ tennis courts 
• Car parking
• Dual-use footpath and Landscaping
• Picnic facilities, BBQ’s and Exercise pods around the site
• Children’s playground

Stage 3 - Halesworth Sports Pavilion and Storage Building

• Construction commenced in May 2023

Stages 1 and 2 - Construction of ovals and landscaping

• Opened for public use - September 2021.

Stage 3 - Sports Pavilion and Storage Building

• Detailed Design
• Tender for the Construction of the Sports Pavilions closed in September 2021. Tender was not awarded.
• Re-tendering for construction of the Sports Pavilion (main building A) and Little Athletics Store (C) 17 December 2022 and closed 14 February 2023.
• Evaluation process complete.  Recommendation Report was presented at Council Meeting 18 April 2023. 
• Construction of the Sports Pavilion (A) and Little Athletics Store (C) awarded to Swan Group WA. Construction commenced in May 2023.
