Road Projects - Banksia Grove - Retreat Green and Viridian Drive new footpath

Project description

This project has been funded under the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.

This program supports local councils to deliver priority local road and community infrastructure projects across Australia, supporting jobs and the resilience of local economies to help communities bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The project has been generated as a result of numerous enquiries from local residents and the Neerabup Primary School for improvements to the pathway linkages from Celadon Loop to Joondalup Drive, via Retreat Green.

Works will involve construction of a 120m x 2.1m shared path on the north side of Retreat Green to Viridian Drive and a 90m x 2.1m shared path on the west side of Viridian Drive from Retreat Green to Celadon Loop. It also includes widening of an existing median island on Viridian Drive to improve pedestrian safety at the prescribed crossing point.
