Community Facility Projects - Pearsall - Upgrade to Wanneroo BMX existing facilities

Project description

This project has been funded under the Australian Government’s Local Roads & Community Infrastructure Program – Phase 3.

The Upgrade to Wanneroo BMX existing facilities project was jointly funded by the Australian Government and City of Wanneroo. Australian Government funding of $250,000 was provided through the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.

This program supports local councils to deliver priority local road and community infrastructure projects across Australia, supporting jobs and the resilience of local economies to help communities bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Wanneroo BMX Club has been a long-term tenant of the City who leases a portion of Lot 1100 located at 276 Shiraz Boulevard, Pearsall. This is a State level facility in need of upgrades to improve functionality, access and inclusion and to assist its sustainability.

The City has determined that part of the Club’s facilities need to be upgraded in order to meet the standard of facilities the City is committed to deliver.

Improvement works to upgrade the aged facilities are:

  • Replacement of the kiosk shelter.
  • Sewer line extension to service the lot.
