Abandoned and impounded vehicles
Vehicles that have been abandoned and removed by the City of Wanneroo require a fee of $489.50 plus a daily impound storage fee to be paid to the City for release.
- To check if your vehicle has been impounded, contact the City Rangers on (08) 9405 5000.
- Vehicles can be collected, by appointment only, by contacting Nationwide on (08) 6377 7928. Proof of ownership (registration papers) will need to be provided as well as ID, and a copy of the receipt.
- All fees are to be paid direct to the City:
- Impound fee - $489.50
- Storage fee per day for standard vehicle - $16.50
- Storage fee per day for large vehicle - $27.50
- All vehicles must be conveyed/towed from Nationwide at the cost of the owner. There are no exceptions.
In the event of a vehicle not being claimed by the owner within two months of impounding, the City may arrange for their disposal by public auction or tender.
