What our youth centres offer
Our youth centres are free, welcoming spaces where young people can drop in, take part in activities, and feel supported - no need to book or sign up.
Each centre is run by qualified youth workers who are there to help. That might mean having someone to talk to, pointing you towards local services, or just offering a place to chill out after school.
You’ll find:
- basketball, table tennis, pool and other games
- music, video games and chill-out spaces
- life skills sessions and workshops
- social events and leadership opportunities.
These centres offer more than just something to do. They’re safe, welcoming places where you can be yourself, meet new people and feel part of a community - no matter your personality or background.

Youth centre guidelines
We want everyone at our youth centres to feel safe, welcome and respected. That includes the young people who visit and the staff who work there.
Here’s how it works:
- Youth centres are for young people, generally from year 7 to 12.
- They are free and you don’t need to sign up or get parent permission.
- Young people can come and go when it suits.
- If the centre gets too full, we might need to pause entry for a while.
- Youth workers are always there to help, support and supervise.
- Everyone must treat each other with kindness and respect. If someone is making the space feel unsafe, they may be asked to leave.
Youth workers have the right to a safe, respectful workplace. This includes being free from harassment, threats or discrimination, so they can focus on supporting young people in the best way possible.
We follow clear safety policies and youth work best practices to create a space where young people can feel supported and where staff can do their best work to help them thrive.

Outreach program
Our free youth mobile service brings support right to local parks, skate parks, and BMX tracks across the City of Wanneroo.
Our friendly youth team comes with a trailer full of games, music and activities, creating a relaxed spot to hang out, chat or get help if you want.
It’s an easy way to connect with youth workers outside the centres. Check the City’s Facebook and Instagram for locations and times.
School holiday programs
Are you looking for something fun, social and safe for the school holidays? Our school holiday activities offer a mix of creative workshops, games, outings and hands-on experiences for young people of different ages.
Run separately from regular youth centre sessions, all programs are fully supervised by experienced youth workers. Some activities may require pre-registration, so check early to secure a spot.
