Funding programs

Participation Fund

Organisations or groups can request financial support on behalf of individuals who are participating in State, National or International events in the areas of sport, arts and culture e.g. sporting championships, tournaments, exhibitions and competitions.

Participation funding is available to support individuals who are City of Wanneroo residents and are: 

  • aged up to and including 25 years;
  • aged 60 and over; or
  • people with a disability of any age.

Requests will be considered for State, National or International level participation as follows:

  • State (Western Australia)
    $100 per individual (capped at $600 per club, group or association)
  • National/Interstate
    $200 per individual (capped at $600 per team to a maximum of four teams per events)
  • International
    $400 per individual (capped at $1,600 per team)

Please complete the Participation Fund Application Form and return via email to the Community Funding Officer at communityfunding@wanneroo.wa.gov.au along with the selection letter/s for the event. 

Applications must be completed by the supporting organisation/group/club to incorporate all participants who are eligible. Only applications submitted at least three weeks prior to the event will be accepted. All applications are assessed against the City's Community Funding Policy.

If your application is approved, you will be requested to provide photographs of the event and a brief report for the City’s records and promotional purposes before receiving your payment.
