Wanneroo Rd and Ocean Reef Road interchange - Out of Hours Works April 2020

Works are also progressing well at the intersections of Wanneroo Road and Clarkson Avenue, and Joondalup Drive and Cheriton Drive. To avoid major disruption of high-volume day-time traffic and to minimise safety risks to our workforce, some of these works will require lane closures and will be undertaken at night.

Wanneroo Road and Joondalup Drive

Friday 10 April, 9am to 5pm; Saturday 11 April, 8am to 5pm and Monday 13 April, 9am to 5pm

• Activities will involve steel fixing, formwork and concrete pours
• Plant used will include telehandlers, concrete trucks and pumps, and water carts

Tuesday 14 April to Saturday 18 April, 6pm to 6am nightly*

• Activities will include earthworks and installation of precast barriers
• Plant used will include a 150-tonne crane, loaders, low-vibration rollers, water carts and plate compactors

Joondalup Drive at Cheriton Drive

Friday 10 April, 9am to 5pm*

• Activities will include pavement construction
• Plant used will include excavators, low-vibration rollers, water carts and plate compactors

 Tuesday 14 April to Saturday 18 April, 6pm to 6am nightly*

• Intermittent lane closures at intersection
• Activities will include pavement construction, drainage installation and potholing
• Plant used will include excavators, vacuum trucks, low-vibration rollers, water carts and plate compactors
• Speed reductions to 40km/h

Wanneroo Road at Clarkson Avenue

Tuesday 14 April to Saturday 18 April, 6pm to 6am nightly*

• Intermittent lane closures at intersection
• Activities will include barrier installation, pavement construction, drainage installation and potholing
• Plant used will include a 25-tonne franna crane, excavators, vacuum trucks, low-vibration rollers, water carts and plate compactors
• Speed reductions to 40km/h

These works and vehicle movements throughout the area may be noticeable to nearby residents, however, every effort will be made to reduce construction noise and vibration where possible. To minimise disturbance to residents as much as possible, an out-of-hours noise management plan has been prepared by CPB Contractors and approved by your Local Government Authority. Please proceed with caution at all times, and adhere to the speed limit and directional signage throughout the area.

Regular updates will be posted on the Main Roads website and emailed to those subscribed to project updates. Where applicable, Variable Message Sign Boards on site will provide up-to-date information. Please plan ahead and allow extra travel time as delays may occur.
