$4000 holiday for racing in rates

Six ratepayers were randomly selected as this year's winners of a share in $8000 worth of prizes and were invited to attend a prize draw function at the Civic Centre.

Mayor Tracey Roberts congratulated all of the winners at last Thursday night's function.

"The Race in Your Rates program provides a wonderful opportunity for the City to reward our residents and develop sponsor partnerships with local businesses," Mayor Roberts said.

"It also benefits the wider community because early payment of rates allows us to invest revenue in the short term market, generating additional funds for the City.

"Congratulations to all of our winners and thank you for choosing to make the City of Wanneroo your home."
