City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts was delighted the City was chosen to host the program after its successful run in the City of Cockburn.

"To be selected to run this exciting program will benefit our residents greatly," Mayor Roberts said.

"The Departments of Transport and Sport and Recreation will work in partnership with us to deliver this community-based active transport and physical activity service and infrastructure program.

"The program provides a wonderful opportunity for our residents and we are extremely grateful for the Departments' support as we would not be able to deliver such a large-scale program, like Your Move, without their resources.

"I welcome any initiative that improves health, mental health and general wellbeing for Wanneroo residents and visitors.

"We are dedicated to creating healthy communities and this program will complement our existing programs and activities in this area.

"We have a beautiful natural environment in Wanneroo and soon residents will have even more resources to help them enjoy their neighbourhood in a healthy way."

The aim of the program is to get residents of all ages more active and connected to their suburbs and community.

Your Move Wanneroo will be funded by the Departments of Transport and Sport and Recreation. The City of Wanneroo and RAC will also provide funding.

Your Move motivates people to switch car trips to active modes of transport and increase levels of physical activity by providing personalised information, feedback and support.
