The City of Wanneroo Presents Concert saw Birds of Tokyo playing to a ‘sell-out’ crowd at the Wanneroo Showgrounds on Saturday night.

From the moment gates opened, the Showgrounds were abuzz with families pouring in to enjoy the many children’s activities and delicious food vendors on offer.

The crowd was treated to outstanding performances from both local Perth bands The Spring Peaks, These Winter Nights and The Money War, and the central coast’s Winterbourne.

When Birds of Tokyo took to the stage, the atmosphere was electric with fans of all ages creating a family friendly mosh pit as the band belted out smash hits including Lanterns, I’d Go With You Anywhere and Anchor.

Mayor Tracey Roberts said she was very pleased that the annual concert was once again, a huge success.

“On behalf of the City of Wanneroo I would like to thank all of the bands for their enthralling performances,” Mayor Roberts said.

“This year’s concert was the biggest yet, with the Showgrounds packed with families enjoying a fantastic, free day out.

“It was wonderful to see so many people appreciating the many activities and foods on offer, and of course, the amazing live music and staging.”
