New local tourist drive showcases the best of Yanchep and Two Rocks

Published Tuesday, 6th February 2018

A new tourist drive has been launched in Yanchep and Two Rocks to highlight the tourist attractions and points of interest in the region and draw motorists into the area from Wanneroo Road and Marmion Avenue.

Yanchep Two Rocks signs

Ten new signs have been erected from Breakwater Drive through Two Rocks and Yanchep, back to Wanneroo Road, near the entrance to Yanchep National Park.

In addition to the town centres, the signage directs road users to Yanchep Lagoon, Mary Lindsay Homestead and the Atlantis statues.

City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts, says the tourist drive will support tourism and associated businesses in the area by showcasing a number of attractions as well as the local coastal and bushland environments, and places to visit along the route.

“The Yanchep/Two Rocks region has some fantastic attractions that appeal to locals and tourists alike; from Yanchep National Park and Yanchep Lagoon to the Mark Le Buse statues in Two Rocks, Mary Lindsay Homestead and of course King Neptune. There is plenty to see and do up here.

“This new signage will help visitors explore the region while supporting the many tourism-focused businesses in Yanchep, Two Rocks and surrounds."

The City of Wanneroo worked closely with the Yanchep and Two Rocks Tourism Network and Main Roads WA to identify the attractions, points of interest and location of the signage, before Main Roads installed the signs throughout December.

The Yanchep and Two Rocks Tourism Network is a group of local tourism business operators who seek to support and promote tourism within the Yanchep and Two Rocks area.
