Volunteering Policy

Volunteering is a great way to get involved with your local community, to contribute to a cause you care about and to meet like-minded people.  Being a volunteer can bring purpose as well as increased self-esteem and wellbeing.  It also provides you with an opportunity to share your skills or knowledge and learn new things. Volunteering also strengthens communities by bringing people together and building community spirit and resilience.

The City of Wanneroo recognises these benefits and through our Volunteering Policy, is committed to delivering a quality Volunteer Program which provides opportunities to volunteer with the City and to encouraging volunteering across the community.
