Join us for a fun storytime that supports gardening and healthy eating.
Join us for a fun, interactive session presented by local author Narelle Wynter as she reads and brings to life her beautiful book I’d Rather EatChocolate. It's a humourous story about a boy, and his dad who would like his son to eat more veggies. The son’s response to eat up his veggies is ‘I’d rather eat chocolate,a cake or French-fry’ – wouldn’t we all?
Don't miss out on a kid-friendly discussion of healthy eating using animal role play and games. Every attendee will build a mini-greenhouse to take home to encourage vegetable sampling at home.

Join us for a special book launch of and Cockatoo wildlife encounter.
Come along to a fun and educational morning as we celebrate the launch of Discover Wanneroo with Coco the Cockatoo, a brand new children’s storybook that follows the feathered adventures of Coco, a curious Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo, as she explores iconic locations across the City of Wanneroo.
The event will include a live story reading followed by a special wildlife presentation and Q&A session with the team from Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre.
